Biospective Inc. is a dynamic contract research organisation (CRO) specializing in Central Nervous System diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. We are quickly growing and our team is expanding.

Job description

As a Software Developer and a member of a talented and passionate squad of engineers, you will have the opportunity to propose improvements and to work in an atmosphere which values team work. You will be developing and implementing a wide variety of software tools that make a difference to the workday of end users, ranging from data management utilities to special-purpose image processing utilities. The software is implemented on a Linux platform following Biospective’s coding standards and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
You will participate in all stages of software development life cycle, from gathering requirements to implementation, including support activities. We currently use C/C++, Perl, and Python.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of Perl, Python, and C/C++
• Prior experience with a Linux/Unix platform
• Prior experience with structured software development

Desirable skills

• Prior software testing experience
• Knowledge of medical imaging and image processing
• Knowledge of MINC (Medical Image NetCDF) file format
• Image visualization experience
• Prior experience with Ubuntu Linux

You’ll be responsible for

• Development of software utilities (e.g., scripts) for data management and processing
• Software testing
• Implementation of production-level software based on internal R&D prototypes
• Participation/performing software/system validation/documentation
