Join the Air Hockey Championship team
The Montréal Science Centre Foundation needs you to join its team of volunteers!
On August 12, the Foundation will be organizing a special event dedicated to families and sports: the Air Hockey Championship.

As a volunteer referee, you’ll be responsible for:
- Guiding participating families with their children aged 5 to 12;
- Motivating participants during the Championship and ensuring that activities run smoothly;
- Ensuring a healthy competitive spirit during the event.
Volunteer referees will have the opportunity to participate in the event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. OR all day, depending on their availability.
What is the Championship?
The Championship consists of five one-hour tournaments in a “table climbing” format. This means that the more matches players win, the more they’ll face opponents of their own level at higher-ranked tables.
Each tournament will be hosted by a time and flow master, and will feature 15 Air Hockey tables where 30 teams will compete simultaneously in consecutive 2-minute mini-matches. Referees will be responsible for supervising two tables each.
