Greater Montréal stands out from other North American urban centers by its size and diverse cultural offer. Since it is a multicultural metropolitan area, Greater Montréal has a wide variety of activities to choose from: local and international, festivals, exhibitions, museums, concerts and performances. You can find something to do, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
Things to Do in Summer and in Winter
During the winter, the metropolitan area lights up with events such as Montréal en Lumière or Igloofest. During the summer, Greater Montréal comes alive with major festivals such as the International Jazz Festival or the FrancoFolies.
But Greater Montréal is fueled by culture all year round.
Greater Montréal Shines
In addition to major events such as the Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada, Just for Laughs Comedy Festival or Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, the metropolitan area also plays host to many alternative festivals such as Osheaga, POP Montréal or ZooFest.
Every year, in addition to exhibitions, concerts, theatre programming and shows, over 120 events and festivals enliven the metropolitan area.
