Position profile

The Functional Analyst helps our clients in defining strategies, uncovering and promoting opportunities for transformation, throughout the deployment or the upgrade of Oracle solutions by supporting the project teams as well as the clients in matching the business needs with the Oracle product. All of this in line with the development, the project management and the methodologies and practices of the CIC-Montreal/IBM. The candidate actively participates in the different project phases and in the technical support of the solutions.

Position and main responsibilities

  • Provide Oracle solution expertise during the implementation, the maintenance and the testing phases
  • Participate and lead workshops to identify and analyse functional needs
  • Advise the client while considering best practice for the chosen solution
  • Collect the functional needs from the client
  • Define a Fit-to standard methodology to identify the gaps between the business needs and the solution
  • Implement prototypes
  • Establish the setup requirements and configure the application
  • Ensure support during the different test phases
  • Ensure post implementation support

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field
  • Passionate about the value technology adds to the business field (human resources management and financial management)
  • Ability to understand business processes, their current application and their possible evolution in function of future and current technological solutions
  • Ability to present and develop new ideas, to conceptualize solutions
  • Experience with ERP implementation projects (preferably Oracle), an asset
  • Knowledge of financial modules and how they work (receivables, payables, financial management, general ledger, assets)
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS or cloud, and/or Oracle Financials is an asset
  • Client focused, rigorous, and creative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and results-oriented
  • Bilingual English/French
  • Ability to travel (30% of the time)
